Making calls was not probably your biggest reason to buy a Windows Mobile phone, with it you can do a lot more than phone calls. It’s really more like a pocket computer, able to carry your contacts, calendar, web favorites, and other important data all synced in a flash from your PC. Plus, you can use it to keep up with your multiple email accounts from the different service providers.

How to get emails from Multiple Accounts

These directions are based on using a touch screen phone. Depending on your model, your screens might look a little different, and you may use keys instead of a pointer. The overall process should be
about the same.

Going beyond phone calls, email is probably one of the first things you’ll do with your Windows Mobile phone. These phones come equipped with Outlook Mobile. So if you use the desktop version of Outlook, you can synchronize your contacts, appointments, and other information with your phone. You can also use Outlook Mobile to send and receive email with two different kinds of mail services:
• Internet service providers like Comcast, Earthlink, and others that rely on “POP3” mail servers.
• Web-based email services such as Windows Live Mail and Gmail.

Your phone can work this email magic without being hooked up to your PC, you just need to make sure
you have a data plan from your carrier. All you need to do is set it up.

To set up your phone to work with a POP3 or Web-mail account

1. Run phone’s messaging program. It’s probably located in the Start menu, if not right on the Today screen.
2. Select New email Account.
3. Enter your email address and password, and then select next.
4. Enter your name and the name you want associated with this account, and then select next.
5. Choose how often you want your phone to automatically send and receive mail, or choose manually
if you’d rather handle mail traffic yourself. Having your mail sent and received immediately can drain your battery, so you might want to sync every hour or two, or manually.

That’s it! Depending on the type of account you have, you may also be asked for the addresses of the mail servers that handle your incoming and outgoing mail. If you don’t have that information handy, check the Help web pages for your mail service.

If you use Windows Live Hotmail, then you can also use it on your mobile phone. Get the free Windows Live for Windows Mobile download. In addition to checking your Hotmail account, you can use it to:
• Download and sync your contacts from your Windows Live account to your mobile phone.
